Espurr from the PokeKyun Collection (CP3), released in January 2016. This set is a fan favourite among Japanese card collectors for its adorable artwork across every card. The name "PokeKyun" comes from the Japanese word "kyun," that heart-fluttering feeling you get when you see something overwhelmingly cute. Every card in the set was designed with that in mind, and it never received an English-language release, making it a Japan-exclusive. The artwork is by Kanako Eo. Espurr is a Psychic type from Generation VI with one of the most iconic blank stares in the franchise. Behind those enormous, vacant eyes is some genuinely unsettling power. According to the Pokédex, it unconsciously emits psychic energy strong enough to blast everything within 100 metres. It keeps its ears folded down at all times to contain this power. The flavour text on this particular card reads "My number one. Exceptionally cute. A little princess," which is very on-brand for the PokeKyun set.
