Dream League was a landmark set for the Japanese TCG because it was the first to feature what would become the Character Rare concept, pairing Pokémon with their iconic trainers in beautiful full art compositions. This Vileplume and Erika card is one of the most celebrated from the set. The pairing of Erika and Vileplume has deep roots in the franchise. Erika has been associated with Grass-type Pokémon since Generation I, and Vileplume has been part of her team across multiple appearances in the games and anime.
